By Style: Season
15 products
Originally created in Belgium, the Saison is the brewing style compared to red wines because of their common fermentation and flavors. Its name literally means “season” and refers to the fact that it was only cooked during the winter, and after it matured, it was consumed during the summer. In general, it is usually a pale, refreshing beer, with a very dry finish. These beers tend to have a much higher carbonation than average beers, and have a fruity or spicy flavor. Fairly aromatic, often reminiscent of citrus fruits such as oranges or lemons.
