The Redneck Brewery craft beer factory is located in the Besaya river valley, Reocín. The project started out of the passion of being homebrewers. One of the partners, Aurelio, bassist in a metal band, started making beer at home that, in the end, turned the rehearsal room into a factory. First, my friend David joined us and then in 2012 they went full steam ahead as homebrewers. Later they formed an association of home brewers in Cantabria 2012-13, and thus they were born as Redneck Brewery with the characteristic bearded logo. Redneck's name is a nod to American do-it-yourself culture and southern folks who like to enjoy life outside of the legal system and hamster wheels. It is currently one of the great craft references, they are considered heirs to the English production system, absorbed in the Dougall's dissemination days, and based on not handling the cereal much.
