By Style: Sour Ale

Sour beers are characterized by having a sour taste and an acid consistency, they are also generally very aromatic and generally low in alcohol. This category contains beers that are produced with wheat, the majority it has a low bitterness and the acidity of the beer provides the balance with the bitterness of the hops. Some are sweetened or flavored. Sour Ale has different variations: Berliner Weisse, Flanders Red Ale, Oud Bruin, Lambic, Fruit Lambic.
