Recomendaciones de cervezas de trigo imperdibles - Beer Sapiens

Friend Beer Sapiens, how are you? Today we want to end our cycle of articles on wheat beers, talking about the beers of this style that we have in our store.

This typically German type of beer is actually produced all over the world. But, I don't know if you know that, from the beginning, at Beer Sapiens we made the decision to work only with Spanish breweries. It is our philosophy: we want to support national commerce and especially all the small brewers who put so much love and effort into their work.

And it is that within our borders beers of incredible quality are being produced. This has been verified in the International CICA Awards of 2021, which were held in Mallorca this past September, where neither more nor less than 50 of the 75 medals that were awarded went to Spanish breweries!

But let's get to the point (wheat). If you want to taste these refreshing beers, slightly bitter and with that characteristic foam, we are going to give you some suggestions that you can find here.

Belgian wheat beers

The Ribera Costa Azul Witbier

Las cervezas de trigo belgas

If you fancy beers with a low alcohol content, ideal to drink while you watch the new series that everyone is talking about, you can start with the Witbier, Belgian wheat beers. A good choice is the Costa Azul Witbier of La Ribera, in Murcia. It is a golden beer with just a touch of citrus, which pairs great with steamed mussels or a light cheese board.

Bellona Wheat Witbier 33cl

To continue, we recommend the Belona Trigo Witbier, from Extremeños from Belona. These brewers have achieved a beer with a lot of wheat and a lot of grace: a Belgian-style beer with a touch of orange blossom, orange and lemon peel and coriander.

German wheat beers

Another style that we have in the is the German Weissbier. Remember that in these beers, with very little bitterness and a lot of foam, they are distinguished from other styles because they almost always have notes of banana. Do you dare to try them?

Zeta Beer Trigger Hefeweizen

Cervezas de trigo alemana

From Cervecera Zeta Beer we recommend the Trigger Hefeweizen, a cloudy, aromatic, spicy and succulent beer, a classic of German wheat reissued to be a refreshing bomb. To accompany these beers we recommend sushi, sashimi and temaki.

Peninsula Walk In The Woods Fruited Weissbier

Now then, if what you like is the fruity flavor multiplied by a thousand, you have to try the Península Walk In The Woods Fruited Weissbier, from the Madrilenian Peninsula. A German-style wheat beer with lingonberries, very refreshing and perfect for hot temperatures. A spicy and fruity beer!

Wheat Type Yakka

But if you prefer a more traditional, CLASSIC flavor, we have another option, the Wheat Type Yakka, which is highly drinkable and goes really well with some cod croquettes.

Bidassoa Agiña Weissbier

To finish, we suggest you try a milder, lighter version of the powerful German wheat beers, the Agiña Weissbeir. This beer has all the characteristics of the typical German wheat beer, but with a softer body, less density, and twice as drinkable. It pairs very well with tuna, cod and salmon.

How to serve a German beer?

And finally, we remind you how to serve this style of beer like a true professional. First, lightly soak the inside of the glass with water to cool it down and reduce surface friction. Then, tilt the glass and pour the content little by little, and before emptying it completely, remove the bottom of the bottle, to collect the accumulated yeast at the bottom of it. Ready to enjoy your wheat beer!
