Description
India Pale Ales were born around 1790, thanks to the inspiration and tenacity of Georges Hodson, brewmaster at Bow Brewery in East London. The Porters and Pale Ales of the time could hardly withstand the hard journey from Great Britain to India, at that time a British colony and residence of thousands of Britons eager to enjoy their long-awaited pint of good beer. So Hodson, aware of the problem and determined to solve it, created a particularly hoppy and alcoholic Pale Ale that, thanks to that, finally made it through the journey to India with dignity. And hence its name, India Pale Ale:
- A moderately strong, very well attenuated, hoppy British pale ale with a dry finish and hoppy aroma and flavor.
- It pairs well with curries and in general Indian and Thai cuisine. It is also good for Mexican cuisine, guacamole, tacos, enchiladas... It is one of the few beers that we can enjoy together with spicy dishes.
Technical Information:
- ABV (Alcohol content) normal: 5.6%
- IBU ( International Unit of Bitterness) high bitterness: 60
