We have prepared a selection of gluten-free beers for all celiac brewers who want to continue enjoying good craft beers.
For those who don't know, being celiac means being intolerant to gluten, a protein present in some cereals such as wheat, barley or rye , among other. In the preparation of the beers we have the malt ingredient of these cereals mentioned above that, when consumed, would cause a reaction to celiacs. Fortunately we have advanced technologically, and today it is possible to produce beer free of this protein. There are 2 ways to produce gluten-free beer:
- The first is to produce it from other grains, such as rice, corn or quinoa.
- The second way is to add an enzyme during fermentation, it breaks the structure of the grain and destroys the gluten, without affecting the rest of the ingredients.
So gluten-free beers give everyone the chance to enjoy a good craft beer.
