Opaque black beers, with a strong flavor of chocolate, coffee and roasted malt, low carbonation. Its origin dates back to the time when part of the production of English breweries was destined for Russia and the Baltic countries. To help better withstand the journey, these beers had, as they do today, a high alcohol content, ranging from 8 to 12%. Its most famous representative is Guinness and the style also has several subtypes: Dry Stout, Sweet Stout, American Stout, Russian Imperial Stout:
