What are IPAs?
India Pale Ale or English IPA, is characterized by a strong aromatic profile and intense bitterness. A British style, which arose from the moment when the English began to add more hops to beers so that they arrived in India well preserved (in the end, hops are natural bactericides and fungicides that help preserve beer). Overall pale hoppy in color, moderately strong, very well attenuated, with a dry finish and hop aroma and flavor. An aroma of a floral, spicy or citrus-orange nature is typical. A slightly herbaceous dry hop aroma is possible, but not required. Smooth mouthfeel, medium-light to medium body. Within the style itself there are different variations: American IPA, Imperial IPA, Double Dry Hopped IPA.
